Sailabration, Day 2

All of the festivities at the Sailabration started today so we met Nana and Papa at the harbor to join in the fun. We walked around the deck of one of the ships, and then headed over to the kids' area where they made their own boats and then got to "sail" them! Henry and Jude loved this activity; Felix was not so keen on letting go of his boat.

One of the other tents in the kids' area had whistles...see Felix's "proud face" when he figured out how to do it?

Next, we had some lunch and then went "swimming" in the fountain. I discovered this wonderful fountain a couple of weeks ago while exploring the harbor one morning with Felix and Jude while Henry was at school. The photos below are from that day. We went back there on Friday with Henry but, as is often the case, I was too busy enjoying myself to remember to take pictures! We were especially delighted on Friday to discover that they play music and spray more water from noon to 1 pm!

Sailabration!

Today was the first day of the Sailabration, and we went down to the harbor to see what we could see.

Felix kept himself cool while Dan, Henry, and Jude boarded one of the ships.
This was our view from the restaurant where we ate dinner. Nice, eh?
They provided crayons for the kids.
 Henry actually colored with his,
Jude apparently had a conversation with Dan about them,
and Felix tried to cut his with a knife. Nice. It was actually a good dinner out (my definition of this is no one has a meltdown, no one gets injured, and we don't break anything at the restaurant - the boys actually eating something I consider a bonus!), and what a wonderful evening to walk around the harbor and see the tall ships!
